A few moments later, we received a call from the front desk apologizing for the mishap. Once we all realized what had happened, the family apologized and left. The clerk had assigned the room we were in (and had been given keys for) to another late check-in. As if we hadn't been through enough, sometime in the middle of our slumber I awoke to a family standing in our doorway. We ordered from the restaurant just in time to beat it's closing and went to bed. We were greeted well at the desk and given our keys within minutes - very much appreciated since we arrived later than we had hoped. Thankfully, the HGI was able to accommodate us but, that was another 25 minute drive with our child in tow. After driving an hour and a half from a friends wedding, we arrived at our original hotel (DoubleTree PBGH - Green Tree) to be told they had had a storm and didn't have a room for us.
